Gunning Business Machines was founded in 1967 by Joseph
Gunning selling and servicing office equipment and cash registers.It is a family owned and operated company. We have decades of
combined experience in sales, service and support with Point of Sale (POS)
systems for the restaurant, retail and grocery industries. The
company stayed on the cutting edge with technologies for retailers.
Selling and repairing cash registers in the late 60’s. The founder saw the first electronic cash register in the early 70’s
and immediately saw what the could do and how they could help his retailers.In 1984 GBM took on NCR scanning systems for grocery and other retailers.
About the same time we took on computerized back office accounting systems to
replace the bookkeeping systems that we were selling.In 1989 we started to sell a integrated accounting solution for Inventory
and Point of Sale.
In 1997 we saw the need for integration of video and point of sale systemsfor security for the retailer in losses from customers and employees.
The web has become and important part of our customers needs and we have
developed since 2002 intergraded websites solutions for there billing, inventory
and shipping solutions.
Today we see Wireless Solutions, Self Checkout, Digital Signage, Wireless and
Kiosk as challenges to our retailers. We are supplying solutions to help them in
this ever changing market.
